After a very fulfilling career as a Fire Chief in Pemberton for 14 years, I became the Area C Director in 2014 and was re-elected in 2018. I love dedicating my time to this amazing community that we all have the privilege of calling home.

Now it is time for re-election, I am running for my third term. There are still major projects in process that I would like to ensure are finished and look forward to dedicating another 4 years to this office.

I have lived and breathed our community for the past 22 years and have proven that I can facilitate co-operation between all levels of government for the benefit of the local community and will continue to do so.

About Me

I have lived in Pemberton & D’arcy for the past 22 years with my wife Sandra and I have 4 children and 2 grandchildren. We live on a ranch with horses, dogs and cats and live a rural lifestyle making the most of our beautiful outdoors.

From 1973 to 2000 I was with the Richmond Fire Rescue and from there moved to the Pemberton Fire Department to become the Fire Chief where I responded to all major emergency situations. I retired in 2014 after a very fulfilling career in the area and then became the Area C Director.

Prior to moving to Pemberton in 2000, I spent a significant amount of my time in the Valley all the way back to early childhood as some of my family have lived here since then and I fondly remember exploring the area with my cousins when we were still in junior school.

My plans for Area C

What is really needed in our community, what we can we afford to do without having to raise taxes, who should build under what type of fixed cost contract, who should run and maintain the recreation facilities. How can we work with other jurisdictions to share costs to make recreation happen? I plan to work with the facts, continue to act on our cohesive strategy and continue to share thoughts with the community so we can collectively agree on our preferred route forwards.

I have been a part of this community for a long time, I know what the community wants and needs and am here to represent those wants and needs. I want to get the community involved as much as they need to be to make uniform decisions on any strategy moving forwards. I want to help make the community a better place for us and our families.
